The Study Abroad Mentor Program started in the spring of 2008, and is designed to actively help students, who have come to study abroad in Korea, to adapt to life in and the culture of Korea.
The Undergraduate Dowoomi student participating in this program are volunteers, selected from the students at Hongik University. Through regular exchanges with the Hongik University students by 1:1 for 5~6 weeks, overseas language students can naturally become acquainted with Korean culture. Moreover, in the process of meeting with Korean students, the foreign students can acquire Korean language skills through their exposure to real-life usage of the language.
Registered students for regular course in Korean language institute of Hongik University, who are over level 2. (However, students who have been studying over one year are excluded.)
