Qualification

Registered students for regular course in Korean language institute of Hongik University, who are over level 2. (However, students who have been studying over one year are excluded.)

  Application and How to be selected

1. Application period: Submit an application form during designated period. (The period will be notified every term)
2. Application method: The application form will be distributed among the classes. Applicants should fill it out and submit to your home room teacher. (The form will only be accepted during designated period.)
3. Who will be selected: Students who fill out the application form thoroughly and have a good attendance rate will be firstly selected.
4. Announcement of successful candidates: Both the chosen students and students on the waitlist please refer to the information poster in the classroom (Date and place for orientation will be announced.)

  The Activity of Mentor Program

1. The program will last for 5 weeks, and you have to meet your mentor more than 6 times.
2. Your partner will be decided by lots in the orientation excepting the case you are a new student who cannot speak in Korean.(You are not able to choose your partner as you want to.)
3. You can have supports when you visit public institution, getting information on School facilities, famous attractions in Seoul, and the way to take public transportation.
4. You should submit reports twice during the program. (First and Final report)

  Things to be aware

1. This is not compulsory activity. Only students who want to apply for the program, then selected students cannot stop the program once started.
2. The selected students must attend the orientation. If you do not attend the orientation, you will not be allowed to participate in the program.
3. You have to meet with your mentor sincerely.
4. Using Korean language is a basic rule of the program, but a new student in a beginner class is allowed to speak in your native language.

  신청 자격

1. 본교 학부 재학생 (대학원생 및 휴학생은 신청불가)
2. 직전학기 15학점 이상 취득자(따라서 신입생은 최초 학기 신청 불가)
3. 직전학기 성적경고자가 아닌자 (성적경고: 학점이 1.75미만 또는 2과목 이상 F학점)
4. 외국인 유학생 도우미 관련 장학금 수혜가 중복되지 않는 자(학과에서 운영하는 유학생도우미, 국제교류 홍보실에서 운영하는 유학생도우미 신청 및 활동자는 본원 활동 신청불가)
5. 본원 유학생활 도우미 활동을 15시간 이상 이행할 수 있는 자(본원 최대활동시간 18시간, 5주)

1. 신청기간 : 3, 6, 9, 12월 첫째주 본교 홈페이지 공지사항 통해 신청기간 공지

3. 선발방법 : 신청자격에 부합하며, 신청서를 성실하게 작성한 학생(활동신청 이유와 계획등을 명확하게 제시한 학생)
4. 선발결과 : 본원 홈페이지 → 유학생활 도우미 → 도우미 신청 → 신청현황조회(합격여부 결과 확인)

  유학생활 도우미 O.T. 및 활동

1. 유학생활 도우미 O.T.
   ① O.T. 일시는 홈페이지 및 신청현황조회 참조, 장소는 합격자에 한해 신청현황조회에서 조회 가능함.
   ② O.T.당일에는 도우미 유의 사항 및 관련내용을 소개하며, 그 후에는 외국인 어학연수생과의 매칭 시간이 있음. 매칭되는 어학연수생은 제2외국어 구사 가능한 자 이외에 O.T. 당일에 제비뽑기를 통해 매칭됨.
   ③ O.T. 불참시에는 자동탈락이 되며 대기자에게 기회가 돌아감.
2. 활동기간(5주) 동안 총 6회 이상의 만남을 가짐.
3. 공공기관의 업무 도움, 학교 시설 및 서울 지역명소 안내, 지하철 이용 방법 안내 등 유학생의 한국생활 적응을 도움을 줌.
4. 활동기간에 반드시 보고서를 제출해야 함. (중간, 최종 보고서 총 2회)

  활동 혜택

1. 봉사활동시간 인정: 1회 3시간, 최대 18시간 인정
2. 봉사장학금 지급 :활동기간내에 15시간 이상 활동자에 한하여 장학금 15만원 지급
   ※ 봉사활동 내역은 클래스넷에서 확인요망 (출력가능)

  주의사항

1. 본 활동에 참여하는 학생은 학교의 명예를 손상시키거나 실추시키지 않도록 해야 함.
2. 합격자는 반드시 유학생활 도우미 오리엔테이션에 참석해야 하며, 불참 시 자동 탈락 됨.
3. 유학생과의 만남은 총 6회 이상(매주 1회 만남)을 기본으로 하며, 최소 2주 이내에 2회 이상의 만남을 유지해야 함.
4. 채팅 또는 SNS로 연락하는 만남은 인정하지 않음.
5. 활동 시 언어는 한국어를 사용하는 것이 원칙이나, 신입생 중 초급레벨의 학생과 연결된 자는 외국어를 사용해도 무방함.
6. 활동 시 정해진 기간에 반드시 보고서를 제출해야 하며 미제출시 활동 시간을 인정할 수 없으므로 장학금 지급이 불가함.
