Program Introduction

  1. Course duration: 10 weeks / 4 academic semesters (spring, summer, fall and winter) in a year
       Beginner Ⅰ,Ⅱ • Intermediate Ⅰ,Ⅱ • Advanced Ⅰ,Ⅱ in total 6 levels.
  2. Every 4 hours (9:00~13:00) from Monday to Friday for 10 weeks.

※ The application period for Vietnamese is different in every terms, so please refer to the notice board before applying for.

    Every 4 hours (9:00 a.m ~ 1:00 p.m) from Monday to Friday for 10 weeks

     

    1st week – Introduction of curriculum and afternoon class application period

    5th week - Midterm test (Writing, Listening, Reading, Speaking)

    6th week - Cultural experience

    10th week – Outdoor activities, final test, Korean presentation and completion ceremony

The Program Objectives and Contents for each proficiency level

  Beginner 1

  1. For students who have not studied Korean before.

  2. Mastering Korean vowels and consonants.

  3. Learning basic structure of short sentence of Korean.

  4. Learning basic conversation skill for simple communication.

 

  Beginner 2

  1. For students who have studied Korean vowels, consonants and basic structure of sentence.

  2. Learning various verb expressions in Korean and how to make compound sentence.

  3. Learning practical conversation skills for daily life.

 

  Intermediate 1

  1. For students who are able to communicate in daily life with grammatically proper sentences.

  2. Mastering causative and passive expression and making sentences with quotation.

  3. Learning how to use idioms and common phrases in daily life.

  4. Students can have fluent communication in public and express their opinion about social issues.

 

  Intermediate 2

  1. For students who are able to express their opinions on individual interests and social issues

  2. Learning various Korean expression and vocabularies related to Korean culture.

  3. Students can participate in discussion about abstract subject and show their opinions.

 

  Advanced 1

  1. For students who are able to fluently speak sophisticated Korean and express their own ideas logically.

  2. Students can state their opinions logically about specialized issues such as politic, economic, social and culture.

  3. Learning broad knowledge about Korea society and how to express their ideas about all circumstances of Korea.

 

  Advanced 2

  1. For students who are able to express their ideas and understand other's ideas based on acquired knowledge from specialized fields.

  2. Students can understand specialized lectures of university or public and they can have a discussion as creating synthetic opinion.

  3. Students can collect information from the Internet, newspaper and TV and they can write an essay or public paper with those information.

 

The outstanding Korean language Program

  Outstanding Education Program

  1. In 2009, Selected as 'Support Program for Korean Language Training Program' by the Ministry of Education

  2. In 2009, Appointed as Supporting Organization for ‘Intensive Korean Language course for Marriage Immigrants’ by the Seoul Immigration Office

  3. In 2011, Selected as entrusted business of Korean language courses for foreign graduate students on Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP)

  4. Have been Maintained above 90 marks on the class satisfaction survey in every semester

 

  Executing Free Supplementary Course in the Afternoon

  1. We directly address student’s individual weaknesses through implementing free supplementary classes

  2. Run Supplementary classes to improve level advancement rate

  3. Helping improvement of learning effect for students through assignment of outstanding instructors from the regular program

 

  TOPIK Preparation Program

  1. The midterm and final tests of the regular program are modeled on the form of the TOPIK examination so as to help students acquire the TOPIK certificate (Level 3 or higher)

  2. Run intensive training by opening a TOPIK intensive lecture (Students who participate in TOPIK class receive TOPIK scholarship.)

 

  Various Cultural Experiences

  1. Two or more cultural experiences are planned per semester

  2. The cultural experiences offer students the chance to understand Korean culture more deeply by breaking away from the standard content of textbooks

  3. Increases the opportunities for cultural exchange by hosting the Korean Language Contest which International students and Korean students are encouraged to attend

 

  Learner-centric Service

  1. Through the homeroom teacher system, every student may receive immediate and direct guidance regarding any issues they have faced in their studies or daily life

  2. The residing counselor teacher offers educational advice as well as guidance regarding immigration issue and general life in Korea

 

  Study Abroad Mentor Program

  1. The program is designed so that the mentors may quickly and easily answer international students' questions regarding transportation, public services and school facilities when they first arrive in Korea

  2. The long-term mentor volunteers (can attend the activity for 1 year) establish a safe support system for overseas students
